The OASYS system offers a new energy-saving approach to HVAC that ensures consistent indoor temperature across every square foot of the home. Using Panasonic ductless mini-splits with a continuous heat exchanger, combined with various ventilation units, this setup filters and refreshes indoor air with clean outdoor air while distributing it evenly throughout all living spaces for optimal comfort.
-
The OASYS system supplies fresh air to all areas within the building's envelope, including hallways, entrances, attics, and crawl spaces—not just the main living areas like rooms. This comprehensive air exchange helps prevent harmful condensation or aerosolized particles from building up, maintaining a healthier environment. Unlike conventional HVAC systems that only ventilate living spaces, the OASYS system ensures even less-used areas like attics and crawl spaces are also ventilated.
-
Yes, it is possible. However, the current insulation and airtightness of the house should be assessed, and if necessary, additional construction may be required to improve these features. OASYS depends on a high-performance building envelope to achieve maximum comfort and efficiency.

The ACH level should be below equal or below 1.5.

Occupant comfort is by design. Our design team reviews every aspect of the house to create a well-insulated, heated and cooled living space. The OASYS system combines a high-performance envelope (well-sealed walls, ceilings, and floors) with calculated airflow – not based on the house’s footprint but by detailing each room and its unique characteristics.
OASYS maintains uniform room temperature and avoids common discomfort like cold feet, hot upper floors, chilly hallways and uneven air distribution. Unlike traditional systems, the OASYS system does not release extreme temperature through outlets, preventing stark variations between floor and ceiling. Continuous circulation within the house envelope quickly blends temperature differences caused by sunlight or incoming air. This creates a space where rooms, floor, walls and ceiling are kept at a constant, comfortable temperature.
-
OASYS maintains temperature and humidity inside the house within a given range throughout the year. This can be compared to the storeroom of an art museum, where various art works are kept in a consistently conditioned environment. The OASYS system offers abundant airflow, which creates a consistent temperature and humidity environment within the building envelope year-round.
-
The OASYS system operates on the principle of continuous airflow with minimal temperature variation, ensuring consistent temperature and humidity throughout the entire house. Alternatively, the system’s performance can be enhanced by increasing the number of supply fans or adjusting the ventilation fan speed to high mode to increase air flow. For significant temperature difference, the room will need an additional mini split.
-
Unlike traditional HVAC systems that use large temperature differences for air conditioning, OASYS conditions the entire house with minimal temperature differences. This prevents condensation from ducts or air outlets, protecting housing materials and extending their lifespan. Made with readily available components such mini-splits, ventilation fans, energy recovery ventilators and heat exchangers, the system is built for long-life durability, with low renewal costs.

There are two architectural plans for the air handler room to be located in the attic. However, it is best to locate the air handler room in the living area on the main floor.
-
The temperature variation is generally not extreme. While occupancy or heat gain from windows can affect room temperature, adjusting the individual room fan speed for air changes will quickly bring the temperature back to the whole-house set point. Alternatively, the mini-split temperature can be adjusted to a higher or lower setting. For specific rooms, such as home theaters or wine rooms, a smaller, localized mini-split may be needed to achieve the desired temperature.
Ideal temperature ranges are 73ºF to 77ºF in the summer and 68ºF to 72ºF in the winter. The mini-split temperature settings should be adjusted according to needs and seasonal conditions. If there's a slight difference between the mini-split set point and the room temperature, the set point should be adjusted to match the target room temperature.
